I was furious when my former doctor aggressively suggested bariatric surgery in 2014. I felt embarrassed and ashamed.
But now, I'm grateful. I can see the gift in that frustrating appointment.
Even then, something in me knew I had to fix my relationship with food first. I realized losing weight alone wasn't the answer. I had to find a way to stop the constant cravings and urges to eat.
I listened to my intuition and trusted my gut. I stood up for myself and set a healthy boundary (I promptly fired that doctor). Eventually, I found a doctor who was willing to support my choices and not pressure me with scare tactics.
No shade against surgery... I firmly believe in finding what's best for you. My point here is to trust your inner guidance, pay close attention to the whispers, and always be your own advocate.
Back to the gift...
Little did I know that appointment 9 years ago set the stage for transformation and a brand new movement that would become Fat2Fierce.
Since then I have taught myself and countless other women how to end emotional binge eating and have a peaceful, positive, healthy relationship with food.
We all know what it feels like to be fat-shamed in the doctor's office and pressured to do something about the weight (as if we haven't been dealing with this for decades).
BUT... I also know how it feels like to take back your power from food, reclaim the confidence to stand up for yourself, and make powerful choices that support your goals in the best way. That's my wish for you.
Join me on a discovery call to talk about your next best steps. Walk away with a plan to end emotional eating, build self-confidence, and feel comfortable in your skin.
Are you hearing the whisper?
The next move is yours.
xo,
Amy
